Kodak Inverter

Does anyone know of anywhere in Johannesburg that can look at/repair one of these inverters? I have one that gave an error, can't remember exactly now what is was, I think bus voltage and also wouldn't charge the battery.

Mustek, since it's the same thing as Mecer and the others.

Drop me a PM, I can arrange for it to be sent in to the distributor to get fixed up. What model is the inverter you have?

He's using the wifi only version. There are 2 versions. Bluetooth and wifi. Not all Kodak's support the wifi option.
 
If you in jhb (or anywhere else actually) , go onto the powerforum, post there and tag / contact Steve87, he has helped many a person with these types of issues and is well respected, nothing wrong with kodak (voltronic) inverters contrary to what has been mentioned above, just needs to be installed and setup correctly.

In jhb he can come to you and help you as that's his job, in other areas you'll get professional input on your settings etc.

And lastly a very important suggestion is to install a solar assistant device , to help monitor and configure your inverters switching back to grid etc accurately based on battery SoC. Works wonderfully with kodak/ voltronic

I signed up for the forum last week. Still waiting for approval.
 
I have the same set up but wil 6 x 455 panels. I continue to get battery weak signals too. My battery type is set to Pylon and to SUB.
Is there something in the settings I am doing wrong and need to change? I also find that when power comes back after loadshedding my inverter always switches off and then starts up again. Need some assistance please.

Setting the battery yo Pylon doesn't work iirc, set it to user and set your values

When you select Pylon it chooses predetermined settings for you, charging voltage, current, cutoff voltage, etc, when you select USER you can customize these settings until you get rid of those pesky alarms, do you have comms between inverter and battery?
