Koeberg Unit 1 passes full load rejection test

Eskom has announced that the full load rejection test of the refurbished Unit 1 at Koeberg Power Station on Saturday, 30 December 2023, was a success.

The utility said this was the final test that needed to be performed following the installation of the unit's new steam generators, in accordance with the South African Grid Code (SAGC) requirements.

Well, a lot of people worried about this, and now they can relax. Lol

I don't understand please explain.
Not sure either, that's why I came to this thread to find out. Shaun will explain in detail what all is involved with a Full Load Rejection Test

Oh. I thought there was some sexual undertones and that you were joking. Sorry.

In other countries, space missions and science breakthroughs make headlines, here, fkn power generators maintenance is headline news.
30%er Nation. What did you expect?
At least it's not celebrating toilets this time.

"The full load rejection test is an important safety procedure that ensures the nuclear unit can safely disconnect from the grid without shutting down in case of an external power failure."
