Kroonstad?

I just got word. I have to start work in Kroonstad on the 5th January 2015.

Now busy looking for a house to rent.

My wife and kids says we should pack up and go and rent out our Cape Town house.

Then they're insane. Stay away from small towns, especially in the FS. You're coming from a modern, big city with a decent climate. I think you're in for a culture shock.

Kroonstad is not really that small and it is quite close to Gauteng.

The potholes there shocked me (and my rental) and the water was awful but quite a nice little town. I also found they don't speak a lot of English

Beautiful town. I row in the river after it rain well. There are people in Welkom that send their children to Kroonstad schools.

I now a few good people there. There was a big railway there, but you know the railways.

I attended a camp their the other day and met these nice people.

What is going to happen to the N1 ? near kroonstad.

We will be upgrading the N1 from Kroonstad to Ventersburg. I think making it dual carraigeway all the way between the 2 towns. I haven't seen the project report yet.
