My iPhone 13 has lately developed the habit of dropping its Wi-Fi connection when lying idle. It then takes around 10 seconds before it reconnects when I wake it.

Any documented reason for this?

Check your channel settings on the router, make sure its between 1-11, use an app to see Wi-Fi networks in the area and choose a different channel.

Thanks for your advice, appreciated. On my farm I am a long way from any other Wi-Fi networks but I will check. Is there something that could have caused this to change as this is the first time I have ever experienced this?

Phone could be failing, just please don't tell me the router is a Tenda or a D-Link.

Also check your phone settings, update could have new features or its a bug.

I’m visiting my dad and had the same problem.

Turned out it was the microwave…

Just checked, yip: Tenda  Installed by my ISP that does my Wi-Fi and our rural camera systems.
