New here, thanks for any help.

About to rent a flat short-term which has no telkom copper line. Landlord is taking about getting the Telkom mobile 10+10GB contract for R299/m for the flat.

This seems to be the best deal at the moment, but with the downside of it being a 24 month contract.

My questions:

1) What happens if I use up the data before the end of the month? Can I top up? Would that be at the prepaid prices?

2) Can it be set up so that it never works OOB so that the landlord never gets a bigger bill than R299

3) Even though it's worse for me, should I advise the landlord to put her budget of R300 instead towards a non contract deal like the 6GB of Axxess/Afrihost, because of predicted price changes over the next 2 years?

1) You can top up with a credit card or airtime. i usually top up with 2GB for R139 or a 1GB is R99
2) it stops working once the cap is reached
3) no idea
