Normally you get this when you put a new unregistered SIM into a phone but I am suddenly getting it on my 4 year-old registered SIM.

Have checked with CV - I have full signal, the account is paid, the SIM is not blocked or locked, the phone is not blacklisted and yet I can still not make any calls or send any smss.

The VC lady logged a fault for me and reckoned they would get back to me tomorrow or I could head to a Vodacare shop.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Phone still not working. SIM is four years old. Maybe it just needs replacing, which I hear involves SIM-swap and a cost of around R100. Not cool.

I recently done a VC sim swap at vodashop for R68
