@lantic connection/email problems

Anyone else having problems downloading email this morning.
lantic.net seems to be down again...:mad:
 
Yes, me too. Couldn't connect this morning. Seems to have been resolved.
 
Seems like their being a major power outage in Jo'berg has shut them down. Don't they have standby generators for such an occurrence, I think that this is poor planning in a country that has an insecure power supply.

I'm pretty sure they do have backup gen sets, unless someone screwed the pooch ;)

Glad yours has...I'm still waiting and nothing... eish...how not to be able to work on a friday...
Pretty soon if this continues, I may have to head to the pub.

@deansheard, it not a power or network issue, the VOX DC has redundant generators and UPS and is fully N+ compliant, it’s actually an awesome DC. I know it is not a power or network issue as some of our servers are in the same DC and we are up and running without any issues.

Vox/lantic came out tops in terms of average speeds on a 10Mbps ADSL connection. I use the @lantic uncapped after hours (6pm to 6am) add-on for R59pm which is great value. However, don't expect to watch a youtube video at anything higher than 480p (if you're lucky) during office hours. Streaming simfy also aggressively shaped.

We are currently experiencing network issues. We are working hard to get things resolved as soon as possible.

They're still appalling. I have a client that hosts their website and email there... and it's just nasty. Half the stuff you can do using a normal webhost doesn't work... their smtp stuff's buggered from the php side, you can't even use Curl.

... lol. So right now my client's site is down. Their email too.
Stupid host.
