If you look at the previous post, they changed topic to Sunny Usenet, not VOX :-P Sunny Usenet is international so I doubt that you are using EFT with all the bank charges to pay for this service ;-)

Sorry, you are correct. I was talking about VOX. For NNTP I use Nextgennews and they can also do EFT I think.
 
Okay then, that clears that up.

I pay sunny with a CC for 30 days access, and doesn't auto debit on the next month, I just realise it's not working and renew for another 30 days, and is pretty instant.
 
Is anyone else getting shaped NNTP this weekend?
I havent downloaded high volumes in a while and now that I am Im noticing some strong shaping. It started off fine in the morning but as the day progressed its gotten worse and worse... currently only 100KB/s and this is on a 20Meg VDSL line. Speed test and HTTP downloads go at the full 10meg speeds but NNTP is definitely shaped.

Mine currently full speed.

Sounds like we have the exact same setup and getting same speeds. Guess heavy usage gets shaped now. Although this weekend is the first time I've really pushed it.

Was getting fullspeed last night I think there might be an issue on the network. My latency is 50ms normally its between 8-15ms on vox

Possible. I also noticed that when I ran speed tests that the ping was higher than normal. this morning i also had full speed. Maybe there is something wrong with the network.
 
So far 2x Jhb people getting bad speeds and 2x cape town people getting good speeds. Maybe the bad connectivity has been reversed from cpt to jhb.
 
around 100kbps speeds on a 4mb line. on my fatpipe as well???

cybersmart, afrihost and axxess full line speed.

definitely a vox problem
