Before Voxy can even reply
@slvr Unless I understand your post completely wrong ...
A 10mbps line can only do 1 (one) times 10mbps in total. If you dial 10 different accounts, you will not get 100mbps, but rather 10mbps in total MAX. The accounts will share the bandwidth between themselves, while a single connection (account) can still run at 10mbps should none of the other accounts have traffic on them.
The fact that you have two bolt ons is irrelevant, they are both running on the same line, not two separate lines.
... the fact that you thought you could circumvent the product restriction via a clever technical solution and have now found that you can't, does not give you the right to complain.
Don't want your sympathy. I do however want an answer from Voxy or a senior engineer as to why this limitation extends beyond a single account.
I disagree, I do have 2 separate lines too so I'm not going to argue about the "it's one line stop bitching"
I'm not, but Vox Telecom has had a history of bad communication issues in the past when Bolt-On was first changed to a rate limited product. I am simply asking for clarity on whether this is expected behavior (as my 10Mbs account is essentially getting no more than 5Mbs of throughput) or if something else is wrong on either my end or Vox's end. The product is NOT performing as advertised and THIS is what I am going to take up. I don't care about the restrictions on the account as long as they are clearly communicated to the client BEFORE the client chooses to sign up for the service.
Umm, nowhere did I use the word 'bitching'
Also, you were the one threatening Voxy with 'it's going to get ugly'
Good luck to you - Voxy explained the limits on this product ages ago.
It's dirt cheap and fantastic value - the fact that people 'ruk the hoender' out of it, or try to, is why similar offerings from other ISPs have evaporated or been throttled/star rated into oblivion.
Edit: I am interested in how they limiting you on two physically separate lines with two separate accounts though.
Edit: at 59 bucks it's hardly going to put you in the poor house is it
Wonder if it's tied to a telephone number...
