@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

You honestly think the Vox network will collapse because you posted about a special in a thread, anyone on another ISP looking to move to Vox will just see it when going on their site.

You underestimate the power of Mybb.

Look what Mybb did to mweb.

the less people who know, the better.

Asked Voxy this morning. You're out of luck. If you want the new pricing, you need to sign up for another account and cancel your old 100GB account.

Think im going to cancel my data account then and sign up for the new one.

If the Afrihost people or the Axxess people are going to jump ship to Vox they will go on the Vox site right? Where they have a giant banner for the special, it's not some state secret Snowden uncovered.

Thanks for your valued input, Much appreciated!

You have 2 options really.

1) Keep trying to keep your ISP exclusive and enjoy them before they go bust due to no growth.
2) Make your ISP grow through word of mouth and hope that they plan accordingly to accommodate more users.

Looks like you support option 1? Why do you want your ISP to fail?

They won't fail because vox' main business is providing business services. The consumer division ISP part is merely a supplement income for them.

And the people who will likely move to them will be the network rapists from Afrihost/Axxess who purely abuse a network just because they can - They will more likely cause vox to go bankrupt if anything.

It obviously costs them money to operate a consumer division, and if it doesn't generate enough to cover those costs or doesn't show any prospects for growth, it will be shut down.

They also want to grow the division seeing how they're advertising, despite your attempts at literally doing the opposite by shutting down the strongest form of marketing, which is word of mouth.

I'd go for 2). Very happy with Vox after moving from Afrihost. Just as long as I don't get a "Gian love letter" in my inbox telling me how "awesome" everything is when it's not. I get my data from my isp. For the little whispers in the ear and love letters I use my wife. :)

Word of mouth? So the abusers can get a cheap product to abuse and cause network congestion ?

Pray tell, how does one abuse a product marketed as a capped, unshaped account? And why would Vox make such a product available if their infrastructure can't support it?

Do you honestly not see how your stance on this matter is actually detrimental to yourself in the medium to long term?

What you cease to understand is that ISP cost is around R1700 per 325 gigs. Mainly made up of IPC cost per Mbps that price. 100gigs would cost them R523 per month to provide to a customer, so the only way they would be able to sell that at the price is by having breakages, not going to happen if you get a whole bunch of afrihost abusers who use every last gig.

I may just move back to Vox (Fatpipe) at the end of the month.

Have they eventually sorted their issues with MyBroadband that would constantly go on the fritz?

So apparently Vox's marketing sucks but somehow that's the evil abusers' fault. How dare the evil abusers use the 100GB that they paid for! Outrageous!
