@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

To anyone who is thinking about using this package.

If you want be be billed way more than you signed up for and struggle to get help from the account department this product is for you.

For some reason they think I used my full 10Gig package and kept charging me for the use afterwards, even thought I did not take the gig4gig package. I took a 10Gig anytime and the agent told me if I used the full 10Gig I would not be able to access the web and they would not bill me automatically for extra usage.

I would not recommend this to anyone.

So after a huge fight to get @lantic to transfer the extra money they took off my bank account back to me I decided to cancel my subscription with them. I would really not recommend this package to anyone. Clearly there is a billing issue and once @lantic take's your money it is one hell of a battle to get it back.

I recommend a real uncapped product that doesn't have a timeline involved like this 6pm to 6am thing.

Good luck to all of you who is still using this.

I get the whole manual rebooting to be safe but how does this help with regards to the 6am changeover from bolt-on to capped account. Does this mean that we would have to wake up at 5:50am to disconnect and re-connect to avoid over billing due to possible incorrect usage tracking from atlantic??

I downloaded Windows8 from Microsoft last night and the download ended at around 3am. I know this as I have a program monitoring the time and data usage statistics. However from saix.net my session only ended after 6. So basically on their end I have been downloading from 00:00 to 06:04 . But this isnt the case. So because I got disconnect after 6 my 3 gigs used will be not be counted as bolt on..

No, that's not the case, they don't allocate the full usage to capped. I don't know how its split but it's not the full usage.

checked my statement today online , Still only R60 so they did deduct the errors , glad to see the they did , was getting a bit worried was at 22gb non bolt on usage last month.

On the @lantic website you can see a history of your sessions, they split your longer connected session into smaller sessions of about 2h45m, or something like that, so worst case the last +/- 2h45 min will count as capped. When I complained about them allocating whole sessions to capped, I was told that it was working correctly from inception, yet I got reimbursed yesterday? So maybe something has changed.

Yes they do fix it most of the time even if it shows as package usage end of the month they fix it. Sometimes it does not get fixed though but most of the times it does. So its not so bad.

I have a 5gig anytime account with Bolt-on added. How the hell can I get a statement for R860 for a '13481 Session MB(s)'??
If I use more than 5gig you cut me off!? And if I use that at night it's included with the Bolt-on??

+1 to them for getting back to me first thing today and sorting this out.

I'm having trouble with my internet now for about 3 hours. Websites not loading at all. Seems as if I've been disconnected somewhere. Anyone else with problems?

Still no nasty surprises for me on the billing side of things even after forgetting to switch the modem off just before 6 a couple of days.

One question though, I tried using the SAIX news server (news.saix.net) over the weekend, but couldn't connect. Am I missing something?

You cant use saix , it uses saix when your not using the afterhours uncapped part.

Looks like no more over billing with their new system..... It seems to have actually capped me @ 1GB usage and now once the time is up for my uncapped bolt on I become capped. @ night 6pm it becomes open again.... :-)

The new control panel is also very nice cause the things you set actually happen. Like the aditional cap setting actually work if you set it to 0 and you will be capped if you have finished your peak data. :D

yep new control panel is so much better!

My issue's is fixed also , and i can view my next month statement before it is the 30th.

Well, signed up this afternoon and logged in tonight. Full 8 megs downloading via Astraweb. A good start to what potentially could be a great deal. It seems like all the issues have been ironed out, so that is great

I was one of the early subscribers and I am still very happy with this service. I think it is great.

I am struggling with the new dashboard. Where do I find the stats for the bolt on data I used?
