@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

Must be your line. I use vox account everyday with zero disconnects. I strongly doubt its ISP related otherwise a whole bunch of people would be complaining about disconnects here.

Previous ISP didn't have any disconnects.

we will have to see. I don't like coincidences. line is perfect. join another isp and I have problems.

I don't get the disconnects and I have my details in the router.

I think its might be because of the 24 hour disconnect that @lantic/vox have on their products to calculate usage more effectively.....

It might be that when they disconnect happens your router does not recover.... It has been discussed by 2 @lantic reps too. Not sure where that topic went to will see if I can find it and link you.

Could be your router that does not reconnect after the session is ended after 24 hours. ISP's like Telkom,IS and Afrihost does not kill the session every 24 hours. I think thats why you are having this problem.

well it was fine until yesterday. why would it not recover all of the sudden? will see how it goes today. been happy until this happened.

So happened again around 6. No throughput on any protocol except email. That's a new one. Restarted router after shutting it down for a while. Then the internet light stayed red. This is ISP side.

Will put other account in when I'm home later and see. I suspect it will be perfect.

Still no issues here.

Logging in with another ISP account creates a new port or something which sometimes hides line/exchange problems, and then it starts degrading over time, so it would be best to leave it connected to the "other" account for an extended period to make sure it's telkom and not ISP.

I never had these problems with the other ISP. Don't have line/exchange problems. Only experiencing this with Vox. And it goes pear shaped when the switch over to the bolt-on happens.

Can anybody shed some light on this crazyness

Our work line did that when I bumped it up to 6mbps from 4mbps. Was quite unstable till I moved it down again to 4mbps.

Is Telkom the only source to find out if my exchange is congested?

Your line is disconnecting so I don't think it's the exchange. A friend down the road from me had the same issue. Telkom had to come there and fix it.

but if they don't find a problem they will want to charge me 750.

Clearly there is a problem so log a "noisy line" fault online. I've never been charged before.

When you pick up the phone and dial 0 or something, is the line quiet?
