I get this from my router right? or is there a command I can run?

Not congestion. Did some troubleshooting with vox/webafrica/telkom tech - they unanimously declared that the line was "flapping". Old building, two blocks away from the exchange, points to a bad line - not easy to fix (Read: impossible). Dropped the line back to 4mbps and the problem went away.

Sounds like noisy line syndrome - had same issue a coupe of weeks ago - they came out and reseated some connections, etc.

Use this procedure - it works

Thanx! I bought a new POTS filter and it seemed to stabilize after that. Humming now.

:D

those damn POTS filters!

Kid dropped water (unbeknowing to me) on one a couple of years ago - had no end of trouble until we figured it out.

Yep. My troubleshooting starts there. Crazy to think that it has so much influence on your line quality.

AFAIK the POTS filter is just for the phone, the router bypasses it and plugs direct into wall plug. That's how I have mine setup anyways.

Connected yesterday morning and have had below par performance.

I have a 10 meg line and can normally DL 3.5 gigs + and hour. Yesterday maxed out below 2.5 gigs. Today have maxed out at about 2.8 gigs an hour.

Any ideas - hopefully just a temp glitch as normally I find this line awesome

Hey Fulton,

@Fulton,

Those tracert stats look good. Did you try a port reset with Telkom?

As per Fox1's suggestion, will also try a port reset

Sadly my office is not air-conditioned :(

Heh, my connection seems to be going through a cycle. One week brilliant, then one or two days not-so-great. Been experiencing some terrible streaming tonight, buffering like crazy. But been flying for about two weeks now, no issue :/ Hopefully just due to the rains (that' what I'm telling myself anyway...)

I just got the 50gb fat pipe and uncapped bolt on. Its awesome product and havent been this happy with a isp in ages.

Now you know @lantic/vox scored so high in the mybb servey done not so long ago. It really is the way internet should be. Unshaped.
