Just change over PPPOE accounts to the lactic one from Afrihost
Hi Zertop, how would you do this automatically, or you referring to manually going into your router and activate another PPPOE account in the router?
I just set a script on my home server to switch over to a pass-through PPPOE account at 6PM
You can do it using rasdial.If you need more info, PM me and ill give you a hand

The best of it all is that even those without any coding background can script the most epic scripts when eg. combined with windows scheduled tasks.

Is this switch done on the router or on the PC/Server? I'm trying to do this on the router itself (D-link DSL-2750U) with vbscript over telnet...can log into router, but struggling to edit/add pppoe settings. Are you or anyone familiar with this router's CLI?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Rasdial controls PPPOE locally on the server/pc. Doing this on the router itself would be the preferred method, but my knowledge of CLI is quite limited. I last time I played around with CLI was almost a decade ago - or at least feels like that. Was a heckload of fun to log into random unsecured routers on the interwebs and see if I could extract the username and password of the ADSL account over CLI. :twisted:

Quick question guys.....Bolt-on works such that it is unshaped with an unshaped capped account right? or is the bolt-on uncapped still shaped? Thanks

It used to say "shaped" when the bolt-on was on the gig4gig account.
It now say's "unshaped" on the fat-pipe account after moving bolt-on across.
So, to answer your question: the former it seems.

no aup on the bolt on , i easily do 1tb a month no issues.
