You tried restarting your router?

Do you have another ISP account to test with? Looks like the issue is on your end or with Telkom (exchange).

The ping is WAY to high on the first hop. Its exchange or your line. Doubt its vox. If it was your first couple of hops would have been very low.

That is definitely something closer to home like your line or exchange.

I have the same issue, but only at certain times. Sadly, Telkom takes forever to upgrade their exchanges or add new ones to alleviate the traffic on an exchange.

Yeah they do. It took 6 -12month of complaining before the upgraded the exchange I'm on now. Very happy now but not happy that I had to battle for so long with a sub par service.

Anyone else just get a statement for August from Vox but it does match your previous statements and is dated for June?

Mine have been fine, up to the end of July 2014.

However, have you logged onto your VOX profile to check what's reflected in the billing section there ?
Here's the link : https://portal.lantic.net/vox/portal/login/login.jsp

One logged in, go into My Account , then Billing Details.
You can see the last 6 invoices listed, click on each to see amounts charged, and also at the top, View Statement & View Next Bill.

You can Print, save as PDFs or Export Statements, and if still in disagreement, can e-mail one or more of the following :

Found what I believe is the problem, when i first signed up for the 50gb Fat Pipe with Vox i received a username/pass, and an account on the Vox website

Once i added the bolt on, i received new login details, and this time my account is on the @Lantic website

So whatever Vox did to fix the usage, somehow enabled that account again

Kudos to Mr Hansen for sorting my issue out :). Had to make abit of noise but i was heard :D. If they can get their support to help with issues like this on a regular basis then i know who i am going to be switching to for permanent access  . Time will tell.

Why is there suddenly a line (I've not noticed this before) when logging onto Vox to check data usage, headed up: "Data Available". ??

Mine reflects 14615MB (14.6GB I'm presuming).
This can't relate to the bolt-on part of the account, which is uncapped.
If it relates to the Gig4Gig, within "View Account", I've only used 41MB of a cap I've set to max. 1GB, in August.

Therefore, what are VOX up to now concerning that "Data Available" heading, and the MB's reflected with it?

Use at least another 14616MB and we shall see if it means anything...

Could just be a error with your account because I have a fatpipe with uncapped bolt on and its showing the available data correctly. I also checked on my old gig4gig account and it shows 1GB available and 0GB used because I don't use it so its also showing correct values.

Mine is showing 51555MB. I will check the usage tomorrow.

Hi,

Send me your account details in a PM and we can investigate this for you.

Thanks for the input to everyone, since my last post, yesterday. Helped steer me in the right direction, somewhat. I've carried out a detailed reconciliation, and think it's simply an error in naming the narration :)

Firstly, to my surprise, when I logged onto my Vox profile a short while ago, I found that the "Data available" amount had gone up[!], not down, having downloaded some podcasts last night.

By the way, I don't have a "Fatpipe" a/c linked to mine, which is only the Gig4Gig & Bolt-on combo.

The "Data available" amount now shows 15115MB.
I manually added up my Daily Usage breakdown for August 2014, and get 15,06GB off-peak so far this month + the 41MB I mentioned yesterday = 15.11GB .. as close as is needed to confirm that the narration added in relates to the TOTAL of DATA USED (for the current month), not Data "available" which caused the confusion.

@Voxy, maybe @cvanwie (Chris Van Wie, Solution Architect, Vox Telecom Limited) can get someone to change that narration so it's clearer that it relates to what's been used, and not available.

My usage makes sense, as I tend to go through about 27 - 30GB a month, on the Bolt-on.

I don't feel it's necessary to PM my account details, as everything seems fine, but if that change could be made, if Chris agrees, then I'll leave it at that, and will check for a change in my profile, when I log on in future.

Cheers.

I just checked and mine also went up to like 57GB. So perhaps its giving us how much data transferred through the account total.

@Fcon_Vpro - it has to be that ; a new feature they added.

If you've had the Bolt-on for any length of time, they used to show the Downloaded & Uploaded amounts separately.

Having this combined amount when you log on is a pleasure, as long as it's indicated what's been used for the month (and not "available").

I've only had it for about 3 weeks now so I haven't really looked at the control panel in detail.
So far the account is working pretty well. Had issues downloading the Blizzard clients on Saturday night, and once I switched back to Afrihost my connection issues were sorted. But on Sunday morning it seemed fine again.

I've noticed on the odd occasion, that things slow down at night, whether during the week or weekends - must be maintenance being carried out, but usually doesn't last for too long (usually an hour or two, then things are back to full-speed again).
