@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

@Voxy, maybe @cvanwie (Chris Van Wie, Solution Architect, Vox Telecom Limited) can get someone to change that narration so it's clearer that it relates to what's been used, and not available.

I don't feel it's necessary to PM my account details, as everything seems fine, but if that change could be made, if Chris agrees, then I'll leave it at that, and will check for a change in my profile, when I log on in future. Cheers.

I'm sure @cvanwie will fix it as soon as he sees it. He is a awesome guy.

Logged on again this morning to profile, and it's been changed. ;)
.. to "Data Used", which makes a whole lot more sense. I think it took a while to filter through to all, or at least most of the accounts.

Thanks @Voxy for getting the message across, and @cvanwie, if you needed to be involved as well !?

I'm now hoping that the Vox billing, which is usually done around the 20th of each month, doesn't mess up these usage figures displayed & updating properly on the account.

Every month, it seems, the "View Daily Usage" figures seem to get stuck-in-time after the 20th, and only when everything is reset on the 1st of the next month, do things continue as normal. Unless one e-mails or writes on the forum about it.

I'll monitor this during the next 2 or 3 days, and if others of you would do the same & all post if things aren't updating, it would need to be resolved as well.

This is something @lantic could never sort out themselves, and Vox somehow inherited this issue when they bought @lantic out.

Time will tell ...

Thanks for pointing this out, will keep an eye as this my first month with them :).

@cvanwie - am sure he was part of the change, fantastic response dude and for others mentioning it.

@voxy - thanks for listening to us :).

Is there any way to see bolt-on usage for previous months? I'm currently using gig4gig and the bolt-on and it's working great. Would just like to see monthly usage out of interest, and if I ever need to switch to fatpipe for peak usage.

Don't think you can see anything but the current month's usage on this particular Vox account.

I had a MyISP account (like @lantic, another ISP taken over by Vox), and on that one could see detailed (peak & off-peak) usage from current & prior months.

I'm sure it's something Vox could implement on these profiles, as well, but getting some of the basics right has probably been more important to them, and us (as their customers).

On this Vox profile, you can view 6 months worth of invoices, under Billing details (in case you don't know:)).

Pleasure ;)

This might be a bit like going to the doctor or dentist .. the pain disappears as soon as you walk into the waiting rooms. So, here's hoping the data continues updating tomorrow, even or especially since I mentioned it might fail like it tends to.

Is it possible to use the bolt-on feature on normal fat-pipe accounts?

fatpipe running slow on usenet. suspect its my provider. will test with another provider to test my suspicions.

So this is the Vox uncapped bolt-on?
Vox / @lantic are the same company??

I am considering this package for after hours and weekend use, how well does it work for gaming, streaming and downloading?
Or would I want to use a different account for gaming and streaming perhaps?

Also if I got this on a G4G package and do not use more than the 1GB free during the non uncapped hours do I end up paying R59 only?

You are asking the questions that no one on this thread likes answering because they are scared of the vicious herd migration.

Vox owns @lantic.
Its good for everything depending on which g4g you take. From what I understand, the uncapped bolt-on is an extension of your capped product so shaping is based on your capped products atrributes but I could be wrong on this.
Mine works well on everything.

Yes you only pay the R59 if you don't select/use more than 1gb in peak hours.
There are once off costs to activate each product.

Your next question is probably around speed, and yes it works on adsl and vdsl speeds that you are syncing at.

Bolton is not an extension of your capped priority.
