My international ping last night was a fair bit higher than usual in JHB, I am guessing due to iOS 8 (or at least that is what everyone is blaming it on).

Any ideas whether that might still be an issue later tonight?

Have noticed a huge difference since then..can game on this account again with very stable latency :D

That is good news.

Will check again tonight as well, though I have seen some slight latency on my smokeping graphs over the weekend. It could have been something else so not worrying yet.

We were heavily congested with iOS8 hits... NetOps said it appears that the flood of iOS8 is over and things should return to normal tonight.

Hmm, my ping seems higher than usual on Vox. By around 10 - 20ms.
Tried out the ITNT account which is also IS bandwidth and the ping was around 5 - 10ms lower, although still a bit higher than normal.

It could just be my line or someone else doing a bit of browsing.
 
Naw there is still some latency on the VOX Cape Town IPC links. Its MUCH better than it was, but not 100% perfect yet. Here it shows:

Much better but it is still very noticeable.

I do a similar thing for my smokeping graphs.

Take a traceroute like this for example:

I use hop #2 in that traceroute. When looking at it on most traceroutes, it will only ping the ESR/BRAS on Telkom's network, however if you ping or trace directly to it, it goes up and down the ISP's IPC links, so you have a very good measure of their IPC links in both directions.

For example on IS:
