@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

Hi, I checked the site, and it doesnt mention public holidays, so I assume it will still only be available 6pm-6am tomorrow?

when i spoke to the sales guys they said that it will be available on public holidays as well - not sure how true this is

I made this mistake already. not on public holidays. don't go cray cray. might go cray cray on some other data I came across yesterday.

What destination are you using for these graphs? Are you using the same destination for both accounts?
This is what the trace look like after hours:

So bolt on is not in effect from 6am tomorrow. Use data sparingly unless you have 145GB rolled over data like myself ;)

Hey cavedog, have you gone over 50GB's yet?

Well I used 56GB of peak time data today and it did not cap it just started using the next block of rolled over data. Was pretty much 1.46MB/s the whole day today. Pretty good if you ask me.

I just don't know what to do. Keep my vox account or keep my Telkom softcap account. Both accounts are just too damn good to cancel but keeping both is a waste of bandwidth and money.

Try rebooting your modem, because today, when I woke up to internet, then something went funny around midmorning, cycled my router and I was capped!

On the topic of "which one"? That's a tuffy for you coz you don't mind dealing with 10210, I do, I hate stupidity, but to help you with the process, I believe Vox have the best account on the market (if you have fat-pipe + bolt-on) where the data rolls over, which is the way it's supposed to be in my mind, so, Telkom softcap is the next best thing, but, if what you say is true in that you get better pings with TI, then I would go with that ;)

And capped again, and again, and again, and again....

So this issue only happen to FatPipe customers? Because I am on a gig4gig account and don't get this capped nonsense.

How I see it:
1. you used up this month's fatpipe data (since they use that first instead of the rolled over data)
2. you have bolt-on on this fatpipe account (which is not available anymore)
3. thus they cap you based on the fact that you did use up this month's allocated fatpipe data.

Only way this issue of yours will get fixed, if they change the usage model, eg. first use up the roll-over data then last this month's allocated fat pipe. Until then you will experience this issue you have right now. Or you should stay below the 50GB in a month.

Yip, the problem is that the system does not look at the roll-over data.
Thus when you exceed your monthly allowance (fatpipe) you get capped.
It is active again during the bolt-on time.

I cannot trust this setup, thus using an alternative account and switching over before I leave home in the mornings.

Had issues with my bolt on last night, for some reason I had awesome streaming speeds during the day then during the evening I couldn't stream anything and had to switch accounts. Anyone having any similar issues? I would remove the bolt on and keep the FP account if it was a bolt on issue.

anyone else's vox R59 uncapped seem 'speed capped'? I cant get more than 10mbps and I have 20mbps vdsl. Other capped accounts I get full speed.
If this a new thing vox is doing, thats fine, but I just want to make sure something is not wrong on my side.

Seems fine on my 4Mbps line - getting 3.5Mbps
