@lantic R59 uncapped 'bolt-on' feedback

Is anyone having issues accessing their daily usage stats? I can't see any data breakdown for July

Hey guys,

There has been a problem over the last week that we have been working on and will be resolving (hopefully) today. As always, I'll be as transparent as possible.

The problem started Thursday night last week. The problem relates to the processing time of the logs solely. This created a huge back log and further slowed down due to the multiple in-house systems which call on this data. A decision had to be made... "catch up" or "display incomplete data". As you can imagine the "catch up" was the decision which was made.

Just so that we are all on the same page, I want to assure you of a few things:

1) Cap/Usage is maintained by our Subscriber Management platform. This system was not at fault, nor affected in any way.
2) Display of such information is done by a separate system; this the problematic server.

So the obvious question I'm sure that you'll ask is, "When Chris?! When can I see my usage!" -- We should be back to normal before Sunday night. We have a solution which we are putting in place today.

Hope this helps everyone concerned. If not, simply ask. I'll respond as I can.

Regards,
Chris

We just finished deploying the replacement system and it's working as expected.

Sorry for the delay everyone, but it's back in place and working better than ever.

Chris

@cvanwie

I'd like to know is the bolt-on uncapped and unshapped? does it depend on your gig4gig package?

AFAIK its uncapped and unshaped while the network isn't busy. As soon as the network gets congested, it will start shaping the bolt-on package users.

Please review these links:

If you have a shaped account, we apply shaping rules during times of congestion and or if we feel that a subscriber isn't using fairly...

That's the best answer I can offer you ...

Chris

Hey Gellderhen

What you said is correct, with a slight modification:

Any shaped account will have shaping rules applied during congestion, not just bolt-on customers. Further, we never "cap" a subscriber during bolt-on times while a subscriber has a bolt-on package.

Chris

High latency

Hi,

@cvanwie

I have the 75GB fat pipe + bolt on. I've been getting really terrible pings to Dota 2 recently.
Ranging from 150-250. Tonight I'm sitting on 400+. it was perfect but then all of a sudden just shot up and is sitting there constantly now :(

This account has been PERFECT up until now :/

Is there an issue? I'm in the Somerset west area.
