Hi Guys

I'm in the market for a new development laptop. Dev is done in both windows and linux, so I would like something powerful for running VMs and heavy IDEs (Android Studio).

I'm considering this laptop : gigabyte-p15f-v7-core-i7-gaming-lapto

What do you think? Would I get drivers for linux for dual boot purposes?
How are Gigabyte laptops? Are they reliable?

Thanks!

Look at Dell with 3yr onsite warranty if it's your bread & butter.

Thanks guys, I think you right, it's better go with Dell.
Any recommendations for places to buy Dell? I would prefer not to go with Incredible or Dion Wired.

I know your mind is probably made up, but I thought I'd comment anyway. I have a Gigabyte P37x V5. Only real difference (besides GPU and screen size) is I have the i7 6700HQ instead of the i7 7700HQ.

It runs Visual Studio and Android Studio just fine, even better than my desktop at work. So no complaints there.

Haven't tried linux, nor do I intend to :P

Not at either of them. Poor support and you always get the nagging feeling that somewhere there is a catch with their claimed low prices. Mostly you find out close to end of warranty or later that the product does not always get supported by the local supplier of whatever product you have chosen.

Retailers like incredible and dion wired will only sell you a "consumer" model, the "business" models have way better warranty's and support.
