I'm watching here and carb. Needimg something smaller than 13inches.Definately get a secondhand machine from someone reputable like FlashGear here in the classifieds or someone else on carbonite. Only thing you *need* is for it to use an SSD and youll be fine

New X5 type CPU's are more powerful. Maybe he should look for the latest Atom based devices with eMMC.He used the next book for around 3 years no with no real issue and that thing was a piece of crap

Not sure he will tolerate Windows 10 behaviour though. Many do not.
Yeah that is the problem with machines that use eMMC storage - they usually only give you 32GB of it. Sometimes that is so little that you cannot update Windows.
OP - unfortunately our selection of laptops in SA is not great. But, I would have a look at TakeAlot and Incredible Connection - they have decent selections.
Get something with an 11.6 inch screen, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive. If they had 64GB eMMC options available, those would work fine, but your best option is then a 500GB hard drive. Of course, even better than that is a 120GB SSD like I have, but then you have to upgrade the machine yourself.
