Today, my laptop fell and the screen cracked (only the screen is broken, so its still usable). Its 15.6 " .. I don't use it too much anymore though. How much would it cost to fix and is it worth it?

I your around jo'burg give these guys a shout. They will install it too at a reasonable price.

If your some place else you'll have to open the lid and remove the panel to take a picture of the back/connector and mail it to them so they can give you a quote.

I'm not exagerating when i say they have excellent service. Delivery is always 3-4 days from order for me even though i'm in the cape. I received a damaged package once and had to send it back, they did the insurance claim (insurance cost R5) and a few days later i had the new screen at my door.

I can vouch for www.laptopaccessories.co.za.

I ordered a laptop screen and fitted myself cost me about +/- R1100. A local pc repair guy quoted (replacement and labor) about R3000 to fix :wtf:
