Don't know the guy from a bar of soap, but thought I'd chip in (and break the trend of one post wonders) since I actually got good service.

+1 Good deals always welcome.I think Martin has finally passed the Mybb integrity testing!!
This one was long and intense.
Welcome on board Martin, you have passed verification and found to be legit
Maybe post a few laptops for sale in the classifieds, there's a good few resellers there taking tidy profits, barge in there and show some love to the Mybb community??
Lets see if Martin has been watching this thread and responds...
Does Martin give customers discount for posting on this thread?Martin is for real.
Have been to his house, tested machines and got a laptop from him.
Definitely can recommend him - great price & good service.
Well more one post wonders.Does Martin give customers discount for posting on this thread?
To All:
I had the same questions when I found Martin's website online. I scoured Hellopeter, ScamAdvisor, and more. The thing that convinced me that he is legit was actually this thread. Consequently I purchased almost R40k worth of equipment from him, and received everything within 36 hours - he delivered to Cape Town. Upon sending him a POP, he replied with a receipt within 10 minutes. He also had a CourierGuy tracking number ready within 2 hours.
I don't know how he manages such good pricing, but I can attest to successfully completing a purchase from him.
That's way below cost, you basically overpaid for a black market key.MS 365 around April from Martin for R600
That is my point, I am not so sure that Martin from laptopsatcost is legit? That's way below cost, you basically overpaid for a black market key.
There are so many of these dodgy Microsoft products being sold these days, seems like every 2hnd person is hocking them. People get them for around R30 each on eBay and elsewhere and then make a huge profit reselling them. They will all eventually get blacklisted/deactivated by Ms, only a matter of time.I purchased MS 365 around April from Martin for R600, and this evening I got a notification from MS that at the end of August this year, my account will be terminated as it is not a MS authorized program. I have notified Martin as such - so I am waiting to see what his response is.

Consider yourself lucky Ms gave you prior warning, some people just one day find themselves locked out of their accounts, all data lost.
Could it also not be under a corporate license that hasn't, isn't renewed.
I haven't had issues loading up my Microsoft with years of Office 365 Personal at R200-350 per 12-month code. Office 365 is included with loads of Game and Makro PC deals, and they invariably get flogged on local marketplaces. My sub expires end of 2022, and I intend to keep adding a year every now and again when I see a particularly cheap code. It's been 2 years now without an issue from Microsoft.
They are typically volume, Msdn or Edu licenses which cannot be resold. You'll known its an Edu license because the reseller will supply login info for the Office account with an email address from an official educational institute, when you see that you know 100% guaranteed you have been scammed.Could it also not be under a corporate license that hasn't, isn't renewed.
Volume licenses are not for resell.I think it is, a customer of ours bought some office 2016 PRO licenses for R800, when they tried to activate it online they got the warning that license has exceeded its limit, after contacting the guys they bought it from, the guy went the telephone route to activate.
think they using a volume license key.
NB: my comments are not directed at laptopsatcost.co.za,it’s just a response to Hemi300c.
Our customer used someone on bidorbuy.
99% of the time not what is being flogged on local marketplaces, the deals sold bundled with pc's are legit though.
Which seller? It's pretty safe I think. I've bought around 10 codes in total now, and every single time the seller sent a pic of the code on its redemption card within the packaging.
Which seller?
You are lucky if that is the case, all these other dodgy sellers just email you an install code with download link or login info.
