Lars Reichelt resigns as Cell C CEO

I suspect that this isn't a good sign. How common is it for a CEO to jump ship when said ship is growing well and offering exciting challenges?
 
This is a great loss for Cell C. Can you guys remember what was Cell C 2.5 years back??
 
Prepare for a return to the "good" old days of high costs contracts and no real specials.

Dammit the man was crucial not just for Cell C but for SA broadband in general.
 
He's the reason my wife and I joined Cell C :(

Ooooh, here's hoping Telkom offered him a position :)

Next rpm will tell us he has joined Vodacom as their Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa consultant. :eek:
 
He is the only reason Cell C is close to competitive, lets see if his replacement is nearly as dynamic.
 
WTH? This guy also jumped from his previous position after just a year or two. What is he trying to prove?
 
It's really sad to see Lars go - without him I don't think we'd have seen MTN, Vodacom and 8ta launch such great data specials. I hope he stays in SA and pops up somewhere else - he's a great CEO and one of the best marketers in the industry (reminded me of Steve Jobs). One of the few CEOs who understand how important marketing is but also backs it up by interacting with consumers.
