Latest available OS

I am currently running 418. Has anyone updated to 424 from 418 on the 9700? I don't want to go through the process if it isn't worth it.

I might give it a shot. What bugs me most about OS6 is the amount of storage available. Opera Mini bitches constantly about not having enough memory

Thats got nothing to do with the OS, OS6 uses less memory than OS5.
Also why are you using chrome, i know the OS5 browser sux but you pay for opera, it does not use the BIS service, as for OS6's webkit browser it makes opera look like a bad joke

I also had available space issues with OS6, and the memory leak obviously didn't help. Had to delete a lot of apps.
 
Memory leaks were only a problem with the leaked releases, they were not official so problems are expected. The 9300 has an official reales out with no memory leaks, no space issues and a hell of a lot more performance than OS5.

If you want to use a leak then don't complain if it gives problems, its the same as Beta software on a computer, its in beta for the sole purpose of extending the testing pool to allow for a greater varience in usage conditions so that they can find and fix the bugs before approving it for general public use.

CranialBlaze- take it easy dude. I was not complaining, just giving my experience. And there's no official release for my 9700 yet.

Makes no sense, the phone has seperate storages, 320mb for OS and 256mb for applications, well thats the 9300 at least. I have 60MB OS space free and 45mb Applications Space free, thats pretty close to the 110mb you used to see, its probably that os6 is displaying the memory usage differently than in OS5, OS5 probably combined them.
 
Been testing 424 an really now issues feels faster that 418 so i am happy as for bbm no improvements still the same
 
Question... how do you check the amount of memory you have left?
I found out that I have 110MB of app storage left, but where do I find the info on my OS memory?
Still running OS 5 at the moment

OS5 seems to merge that, i never even knew they were calculated separately, as it appears, in OS6. IM OS6 you go to Settings>Third Party Applications and you will see a whole mess of new information including your memory usages and cpu usage up to a per application basis.
 
Anyone having probs sending a MMS on OS6? I go "insert" then "Picture" and then press the return key. After a bit it just shows a red x next to it. :-(
