:love::love::love:2006 Audi A4 (B7) 2.0 TDi Multitronic:love::love::love:

Hope you have motor plan/warranty on that multi-tronic gearbox, Audi quoted me R120 000 for a new gearbox on my 2006 A4 (B7) 2.0T two years ago, they are not very good gearboxes at all... they usually pack up after 100 000 or 120 000 km's... some last longer, but they all fail at some point...

what the hay.

Yes, it is. It has plenty gadgets and other unnecessary electronics.

According to Wikipedia "Impulse buying can also extend to so-called "big ticket" items such as automobiles and home appliances. Automobiles in particular are as much an emotional purchase as a rational one. This in turn leads auto dealers all over the world to market their products in a rapid-fire, almost carnival-like manner designed to appeal to emotion over reason."

I get it if you are living well within your means, but for a typical mybb member (I'm guessing a rational middle class individual) 99% of the time a car would not be an impulse buy.

I read Wikipedia regularly, but Honestly, never got an idea to search for this keyword. :)

How is a car or a new PC an impulse buy? my definition of an impulse buy, is a buy where as a consumer you:

1) Do not really consider the consequences of the purchase (in terms of finance)

2) Did no or minimal research prior to purchasing the goods/item

3) Did not really need the item, rather wanted it or thought about it in passing.

To me a car and a pc takes time and effort to purchase. It's not like buying an extra HDD or kit kat at the impulse buy aisle in Spar

It took a week from deciding I wanted a new car to buying the Audi, i'd say thats pretty impulsive??
