does anybody know how to build a cheap mast that i can build or buy for good price?:)
 
you guys of wug did you build that mast ypurselves or did you buy it?
 
I also want to construct a lattice mast of around 12M.

It seems a DIY aproach works the best. I've searched the net and found some scethces and pictures.

Then about a week ago I stumbled upon some disacrded steel which I am going to be using. The idea is to construct the mast without having to fork out big bucks.:D
 
yes this is the only way .the guys on this forum only intrested in there own little world,as long as they can lan with their friends and think they know it all they are happy not here to really help anybody else.doesnt help asking for advice always becomes a !@# measuring contest .bunch of babies.
 
I think it's more a question of every mast is built differently. Its' an amateur thing and no one mast looks like the other. (Rarely anyway.)

Have a look at the WUG sites, jawug etc. Or join the irc and speak to the okes there.

I have just noticed this thread right now... I cannot speak for the rest of the "guys of wug" as you call them, but I, for one, am busy with work, and contrary to what you may think, I (we) do not all sit here refreshing the wifi/wisp sub-forum, waiting for people to post questions.

I suggest you spend a bit of time googling for the answer to your question, instead of accusing everybody of being a bunch of babies, and really making yourself popular, alternatively, join the irc channels / read the wug websites as suggested. ;)

funny nobody was willing to help when i asked nicely.now everybody is ready to give comments.strange,should of thought of this long ago.

just buy a tower from WEBB at R6000 per 3M section then it has building plans and the city planning dep. will not give you crap for putting it up...

I refuse to assist someone who has a three 1watt 2.4ghz amplifiers, and wishes to use them. I'm very glad you are in the Menlyn area, and not anywhere near me... Unfortunate for my wug friends north of the Boerewors Curtain though....!
