Will do! Definitely leaning to that, with the price drop though, since i was budgeting around R16k, i could just as well go for the 55" depending on the difference though.

To me, its just the Samsung stores in the malls. You wont find it on Google just by searching for the Samsung store, and according to the mall specifically its called the Samsung Concept store, otherwise you always end up at the Samsung Mobile store.

But yeah, the Samsung store, is known as the Samsung Concept stores.
 
Bit of a weird one. I bought a Samsung UA46H7000 which had a issue with the coloring on half the screen after a month. They have offered to swop it with a UA55HU7200!
That seems like a too good to be true scenario? Is there something about that set?

Edit: doesn't have 3D I see. Wonder if the kids would notice :)

Our local store is having a sale on their Sony Bravia 40 inch LED tvs for R5999. Is that a good price or should one go for Samsung , seeing that Sony closed down their CAV devision in SA?

My issue with the small things that just isn't there... for example the YouTube application does not allow for anything but 1080 streaming. I have a 4mbit line, so everytime I have to pause buffer on every video, and then when it has buffered, the video stutters... suppose newer smart tv's could better (my Samsung TV is 2 years old).

I did enjoy some of the audiocasting apps, but then again I have a old laptop connected to the TV at the moment with which I can YouTube, Netflix.... even stream games from my desktop pc.

I haven't tested those Android dongle pc's yet, but I'd bet they would be pretty good too!

Yeah, i was on my way to House and Home in Constantia (JHB) because the Samsung store didnt have stock left of the TV when i got there, so i left Clearwater and went to House and Home in Constantia to get it because i saw it on te Mybb specials that morning. While i was driving, i decided to take @rodga 's advice THANKS FOR THAT BY THE WAY!!

and call Dion wired and told them House & home has the TV on special for R11499, the guy then told me to give him 10 minutes to speak to his manager and he'll call me back, then got to house and home (Thanks to Eskom and the load shedding it took longer than usual to get to the store) Constantia, and they never had stock of the TV, they told me to go to the 1 @ President Hyper as they have a few left (and anybody thats been to that hell hole will know - thats not a good thing, not even for a lucky score like that) which i dreaded, but i really wanted the TV, so i dropped my wife at home on my way to President, pulled out of the drive way and the guy from Dion Wired (Cradlestone) called me back, saying he'll give me the TV for R11400, which was awesome because then i didnt have to venture into that horrible place and i scored by getting the TV even cheaper than i initially budgeted for which was R12k.

And i must say, that TV is amazing!! The color is so rich and deep! Its just an awesome TV, i now have the PLEX App set up on it (over ethernet) and have PLEX on 4k res, and it looks like heaven!

I also played Call of Duty Advance Warfare (Xbox one) this weekend on it, the graphics on that TV with that console... It just made me tear up when it started! Drama aside, that TV is amazing! I really scored a luck on that 1 hey!

Even the guy at Dion Wired said he's not sure why this TV's are going for so cheap, because that is a bargain!

Yeah, the PLEX home theater (installed on the PC) resolution is set to 4k (3840 x 2160), i am yet to watch a movie, but the Artwork looks very good!

Yeah, just the fact that i didnt have to drive to President was enough for me.

I'm not so sure. Why would it show the price on the website as that, though?

Perhaps try proceeding to checkout and see what they want to actually charge you?
