LCD/led/plasma specials

That is fraking awesome, if I had R3k I'd pick it up for the room.

R4K for the 43D450! That's probably the best price I've ever seen it.

Reckon this is only the beginning of the big bargains for what we consider 'high end' displays as of today.

Keep your eyes and ears open, wouldn't surprise me to see 2011 LED's going for up to between 25 to 40% discounts.. Especially with samsungs shift in corporate strategy and bonding with new key-partners

Game got their specials out.

Nothing too fancy as yet...

UA40D5000 for 6899 @ catsdigital?

For the specs of 100hz
fhd LED (@ postmanpot... yeah, not true LED... but true enough for the price ;-) )
4x HDMI
1x USB
Ethernet + all the additional goodies...

I'm thinking a good deal?

Anyone heard anything about this specific model? Good or bad.. Did a quick google search, not much besides for copy pasted reviews on the specs

It's not 100Hz. :/

as Postmanpot would say, 50hz, they add 50hz for their CMR (clear motion rate) = marketing gimmick :)

In other words.... It's actually a 50hz panel? No difference whatsoever? So my d550 40" is also 50 + 50 clear motion ;-)

Not exactly, the D5000 has LED Motion Plus which strobes the LED backlight to reduce motion blur. This together with the UltraClear panel according to Samsung give the D5000 a 100Hz CMR rating, while the D550 has neither of these for a CMR of 50Hz.

But yes, strictly speaking both have 50Hz engines & panel refresh rates.

So come smartypants, let's hear some suggestions? Specs as mentioned above... But with 100+ hz (actual , no gimmicks)..

Budget 8k +-
