UPDATE: Any1 looking for a new screen 2333sw is the way to go... Its quality at a cheap price, the 16:9 is much beta i think but all in all its brilliant, my upgrade cost R36 for an inch, higher res and a beta picture display. Thanks to acumentech.co.za

The thing about a 16:9 aspect ratio is you only gain about 8.5 more inches total viewing area, at 23 inch, over a 16:10 22 inch LCD. However, as an example, if you brought a 23 inch 16:10 LCD, you would gain 20 inches total view area over a 22 inch 16:10 LCD.

So a 16:9 23 inch LCD is about the equivalent to a 22.5 inch 16:10 LCD, at least in terms of total area. (At least thats how I understand it)

The 2333SW is an awesome screen, i got one myself. IMO It was an excellent upgrade from my 2253GW

The 16:10 neva bothered me, but wen watching movies and series on my pc now the screen fills up to 99% now on hte 16:9, can hardly see any black at the top or bottom. But i think in general its just a beta screen cause its newer.

The 2333SW is the best screen I've ever owned - I was seriously considering the T220 back in Nov 08, but wanted native 1920x1080 res, so eventually went with the 2333 when I got a good deal with a supplier - I don't think anything else out there can currently compare on price vs specs...

Too wide? Does not compute, it's just more space, for instance you can put 2 pages next to each other.

gaming, exquisite, ..naturally speaking we look left and right more so than up and down. It fills your whole view perspective.

You will not regret it, requires some tweaking, but I've got my whites white and colours richer etc. Spend some time a/b/c'ing high and low brightness contrast, different modes etc.
