It simple and has been said a billion times. Get a 22" samsung 2232gw or one of the newer ones. They have a very low response times (think 2ms G2G) and almost ALL the GAMERS on this forum have one...including me. *awaits Killa's obligatory "samsung rules and is the best monitor ever created" comment)

:D

And if you don't believe me/us...do a bloody google search yourself for reviews :D

EDIT: Rainy is just jealous because he doesn't have one :p

99% of the folks here can't be wrong...

What are you even on about?!

Went from my old rectron monitor to a samsung T220
Its the most amazing experience in the world (not really but you know what i mean)

I mean if you buy cheap, or buy rubbish, you cant expect it to perfrom, rather wait a while until you have the money for a beast.

and Hoegh, yes to both questions, just check the dynamic ratio and refresh rate.

and I forgot, with christmas and all these high prices sceltobytes is probably your best bet, got mine for a grand less :)

Yeah just a problem for ppl with older lcd models :p

Think it was doesnt happen from 8ms and lower...it rarely happens for me and I only notice it when I'm in a perfectionist mood.

Just get the samsung like everyone says and u wont even know what tearing is.

:D

hehe - I have a 22" Samsung LCD ;)

Just not *your* model!

I got tearing on my CRTs as well, so its not an LCD thing. The odd thing is that I find some game engines seem to be more prone to it that others. And this is while pumping out roughly the same FPS in each.

ok to summarise

-LCD's are good for gaming
-Samsungs are the best
-Some people are jealous of others with LCD's
-PC Zone is useless (I knew that already!!)
-22' FTW

I only experience tearing on CRT when doing a fresh windows install with no gfx drivers...slow and tear everywhere

What is tear?

Is it tear - as in rip a paper? Or tear, as in when you cry?
