So I've just cancelled Mweb because I'm getting trottled at 80GB on a 2mbps uncapped account.

Where to now? Was paying R340 for data and ADSL line.

Purpose of account is to download many movies and series.

I've noticed this a lot recently on the forum, people need to be realistic when it comes to internet, I totally understand everyone can't pay huge amounts for business uncapped etc, but then you shouldn't think you can download 300GB a month and pay R340.

I would say the best bet would be capped from Web Africa or Incredible Connection has a 4Mbps uncapped account on sale till midnight today, add a 2Mbps line for now and you can upgrade to a 4Mbps line later when you want it.

I'm paying ~R370 for my business uncapped account with MWEB (2mbs) and go through around 200GB a month. Nearly all my content is streaming video and music and have had no throttling issues from them whatsoever.

If you don't mind unusable internet during the day when you're at work, I would recommend Openweb. From 17:00 to 8:00 in the morning, full speeds ahead. No throttling, no rolling windows, no threatening emails.

Another one for crystal web, speak to support on their live chat about the account that would beat suit your needs, I.e. how much do you plan on downloading. If you only want the internet for downloading, you may want to try connections account. It's cheap and will run nicely after hours. During business hours it won't if you go through a lot of data.

Why not? I did 300GB+ on OpenWeb every damn month and my account was R249 per month. (2Mb Gold Uncapped)
Now I'm on a 4Mbit OpenWeb uncapped account which is also going for R249 per month, And I expect to do a lot more (Mostly Between 00:00 - 07:00, and on weekends)

You just need to get away from the WebAfrica and Incredible Connection ISP's.
And stop using capped, also.
