Nah - I guess the equivalent of service packs would be the dot-dot updates. IOW 10.5.1, 10.5.2, etc and they're free.It`s the first new OS since I got a mac.

I've never had an installation take that long.no, load the disk and the installation should take approx 1.5 -2 hours.
There must be some big changes then.just going by what apple state in the web site.
