I doubt it... there will be updates but not as large as Windows service packs. Bwana can shed more light here.
Nah - I guess the equivalent of service packs would be the dot-dot updates. IOW 10.5.1, 10.5.2, etc and they're free.
There's also only the one consumer version and nothing is crippled.

no, load the disk and the installation should take approx 1.5 -2 hours.
I've never had an installation take that long.
