Hi all

Just wanted to get some advice on level 7 from past and current users, are they any good? looking at using them on Vumatel.

So far, its just a continuous wait for their sales team to get back to me, bit worried about general service afterwards if initial sales is so sluggish.

Thanks

Good day, my brother in Centurion Pretoria are with Level 7, first he used the wireless 4mbps link and was very happy with the service. When fiber came along, they switched him over on the Openserve network, first on 20mbps and later he upgraded to 50mbps line, and I must say I worked on the line when I visited him and I am very impressed on the fast browsing speed and downloads are fast and the service is uncapped unshaped. Judging from my experience, I would recommend them. Also he told me the fiber installation and service switch over was done in less than a week.

I agree, I used to use Rain, in the beginning all worked like a dream, but later on the service deteriorated beyond working - shows full signal but no throughput. Eventually I had to cancel. Vumatel is busy laying fiber in my area, so when they are live, I will have decent working internet again. You can also try Axxess and Afrihost I have heard good things about them.

I would definitely recommend Level 7... used their wireless internet for years and hardly ever had issues or outages. Switched to Fibre recently and though it did take some time, they actually set me up ahead of schedule and I’ve had no issues with the service at all.

Just an update on my journey with level 7, now in the second month, Initially, their communication with Vumatel was quite an issue, they couldn't get my link up so I was without connectivity for 2 days, after that, it has been smooth almost all the way, the expected evening peak slowness does happen from time to time, their support has been on par and has exceeded expectations, Overall, am pleased with what I got.

thank you all for your input.

Hi guys. How's level-7's wireless packages in terms of being uncapped? Do they throttle/have a FUP?

Their Wireless product used to throttle torrents at certain hours, but I wasn't affected so I didn't note the times. Apart from that, it was uncapped and unthrottled. Having been on Fibre for as long as it has been available in our area, I am not sure if anything has changed for Wireless recently.
