Levelling without questing...?

Does any one know if it's possible to successfully level a toon without doing any quests? I know that certain quests would reward higher amounts of XP and decent gear, but would you be able to compensate for that by getting higher level players to boost you and clever AH strategy for equipment, etc?
 
yes will take you way longer than questin. But I grined levels 60-70 on my DK usein full rest xp you pick up some nice greens but the AoE GRINing IS BORING AS hell

cos +rest xp and the right place whit the right amount of mobs and a fast respawn time you'll get some nice xp in a very short amount of time

Found that I really ripped through dome nice xp in Helfire Pen on my pally by pulling huge numbers of vultures, nice thing is, they keep on coming once yu have killed one, but nothing beats questing timewise. I think the only prof that requires immense ammounts of grinding mobs are skinning/LW.

I found the BT and HF great grinding places as well as the Mammoth meat/Shoveltusk, sold for some nice gold on the AH.
 
i did notice with my dk leveld pretty fast grinding instances but only with rested xp it went pretty fast if you 2 man dungoens
 
Recruit-A-Friend + 80 friend + instance grinding = fastest way to level, basically you only quest till around level 10 and then start with RFC, RFK, SM, ZF, BRD all the way to 60. My mage is lvl 35 now and I started him on Sunday. From 60 to 80, though, you'll be back to questing through Outlands and Northrend.

My main account has an 80 DK on. Myself and a guildy bought additional accounts. We linked the accounts together and I powerleveled us through instances.

You only need to quest to level 8 which takes about 10 min. Then we went to RFC > SFK > SM GY > SM CATH > BRD > UBRS > Undead Strat.

Took me about 72 hours in total playing time to get to 60. Obviously longer in reality because of raiding with guild etc. Once my toons were 60 I transferred em to my main account.
 
In the past, Grinding without quests was considered the fastest method to level provided you picked the right spots.
With the changes to quest XP though it's not worth doing anymore.
 
you would also miss out on rep, and your repairs would cost more as a result

1-20 Quest, nothing is quicker.
Level 20 - 40 get boosted non stop in SM after that 40-45 ZF.
45-58 Quest. (Stratholme is a viable at 50ish as well)

Paladin/Mage booster is quite good. don't loot just reset. looting wastes too much time
 
It would be insanly tiresome but yes it is possible.
Remember most quest gives Rep as well so you will loose that as well.
