Factory reset your phone and don't install any appsSo after using my G4 for the last two weeks. It's not the battery that is bad it's the phone. Brand new battery and it's just as horrible.
40% usage in idle over 8 hours? I was asleep and it went down 40%?
that's not normal. This is from factory resetFactory reset your phone and don't install any appsthat's not normal.
My wife got my old G4 now. Did a factory reset last night. Installed Whatsapp and what's not... Took it off charge this morning at ~6am its currently at 88% battery. She doesn't use her phone much during the day though.
My s8 is currently at 47% from a full charge this morning![]()
Seen been on much during that 1 hour? LTE enabled? Who's your cell network provider? This is from factory resetbut I'm comparing to the Redmi Note 3 I had for two months while the G4 was being repaired
. That would lose 5% tops. I've been off charge for 1 hour and already at 81% sigh.

Seems it's a common issue of late with screens, Samsung S6 and a few other of their flagship models have also had the screen peel issue. If you have the correct optically clear UV screen glue you can carefully squeeze some in and glue it down again/prevent it spreading.Hey guys, anyone else have an issue with their screen? At the top near the edge (by the camera) it looks as if the screen is lifting up, like the adhesive/glue is giving up and its lifting. Thought I could keep this phone after my contract but not by the looks of it.
Thanks! Was thinking of getting the s6, but thanks for the heads up. Its not so bad where it's actually lifting up, just not sticking down like with a screen protector.Seems it's a common issue of late with screens, Samsung S6 and a few other of their flagship models have also had the screen peel issue. My phone's screen is heating up, the image burns in? Not sure if that's the right explanation. The corners of my phone go kinda red-ish. I got a message saying I'm due for an upgrade. This is the only reason except for the battery that I'd even consider replacing my phone. Anyone know how to fix it?
Hi.Hi, I know it's been a few months since your post, but were you able to get the screen replaced under warranty? My husband's G4 has the same issue, but the retention happens the moment the screen turns on, without even using the device for a few seconds. It's gotten worse over time, and he has already had the motherboard replaced due to the bootloop.
Also, if your screen was replaced, did the issue eventually return?
Thanks!![]()
Aah, no problem, thank you for replyingHi.
I never got it replaced. Sorry
What's the chances for us in SA as we mostly got the affected ones, we also got the model that had no updates at all.

Not sure the h815 is the same as the h815phttps://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/unlock-unlock-lg-g4-device-usu-t3760451/page1
Looks like we have an unlock
That unlock method is terrible.. Well, not terrible but really needs to be careful with what you are doing. There are plenty of things to noteNot sure the h815 is the same as the h815p
