Any New on the LG G6?

Local release data and possible cost?

How would it compare to the Galaxy S8

for those, like me who watch reviews before making a call.

this is my new go to reviewer. because lets face it, life happens to a phone. rather know what will go wrong with it and get the appropriate protection.
also, this guys channel is awesome. cant wait for him to do this to an S8 to see what phone is more structurally sound.

It was already known that only the US would be getting this. Don't see why LG would do this
I wonder if it has anything to do with Patents. Why go out your way to limitations devices functions outside a particular region? It's the same with Sony and them turning off Fingerprint Scanning in their US variants, I think it's due to Patents.

I just picked up my g6.
Super happy with the phone so far.
Screen is massive. And it feels really solid in hand.

I played with a g6 that someone just bought and an s8 that someone else just bought.

The g6 feels better to me. Finger printscanner is perfect, and the Bluetooth headphones you get on promo is really high quality.

For those wondering we get the UK models. No wireless charging like the US and no quad dac like Korea

You're brave, let us know how the phone fares bootloop wise...

I'm going to say the V20 had no bootloop, so LG fixed it. G5 also had minimal bootloop.

Sure there were some V20 that had it but it's not like the g4 where hundreds of thousands had the issue.

Honestly this is the phone that will move ifans to Android. The phone feels like an iPhone 7 in hand in terms of build quality I mean.

The taller yet slimmer build also helps with that feel. IPhones always felt too narrow to me

Ok let me clarify that better.
2mil units sold, 500 thousand have bootloop, it's a problem.

1mil units sold 10 thousand have the problem, it's not a problem.

Yes some V20 had a similar bootloop, but it was not as big a percentage as the g4 was. Even the v10 and the nexus was a much smaller number than the g4, and that was addressed and fixed. In South Africa they fixed it fine, no one I know had any issues fixing it. I have seen reports of people having issues fixing it, but that may be a bad store or a rude customer for all we know.

Ok so first battery impressions.

One of the games I play. Pokemon duel.
Normal usage on the g4 was 5% drain per 10 min play.

On the g6 an hour play drained 12%

I am going to give it a proper poker go test now.
Normally 5 level 10 gyms takes the g4 from 100% to 4%.

Phone has just gone on charge now, we will be off battling gyms in about an hour.

And before everyone says pokemon go is not a good indicator, remember it is network intensive, GPS intensive screen intensive.
I can't think of any other game that uses everything on the phone the same way
