LG KS360 Chatterbox

Only dialing nothing else. I'm not going to lie, it seems like a little bit of a waste to me.

well a little more than that. i have a touch screen mp4 and it works for everything but i know thats not the same but....

Ya, I used a phone like the one in my sig so I was pretty disappointed when it could only be used for dialing.

i was under the impression touch screen phones meant everything was touch screen or are these phones touch dial which is something else.

Normally everything is touch screen, for example the phone like the one in my sig that I was using had everything touch screen i.e. it didn't even have a keypad. But the KS360 barely ever makes use of the touch screen unless you making a phone call which is pretty much a waste imho.

Touch screen only for dialing ... but it works well in that role. Pity that LG couldn't make more use of this feature but I guess then it would cost three times as much (in a very different price league).

oh well it looks like i will have to save up for the full version of the touch screen phone and not a demo model.

its because its kinda new and unique who wants a phone that every tom, dick and harry has. i was planning on getting one through you when you had them as your sig for R1500 something but i missed it by one day, cause when i got the money it had gone up to R1900 something.

This dollar has been screwing around. I'll let you know when they get cheaper and we can talk.

Okay here's a full list all from MTN (you'll have to double check the prices though), you can get them from MTN Direct, service centres and stores, I've only chosen options on Anytime 100:
Sony Ericsson G700 - R119/month
Sony Ericsson P1 - R109/month
HTC P3400/P4350 - R89/month
Samsung F700 - R139/month

Personally I would go with the P1 which has a great keyboard (but takes some getting used to) and handwriting recognition. Great multimedia and you can easily mod it to include the W960 Walkman music player. It costs a little more than the LG option but it's infinitely better and it's a genuine smart phone so there are lot's of games and programmes you can install. Cell C have it for R144/month on Casual Chat and Vodacom for R135/month on Weekender.

ok cool let me check, i just went on the mtn site now but i see you say its mtn direct.

anything on vodacom that you know of offhand?

Like I said the P1 is available from Vodacom for R135 a month on Weekender. I only know about the P1 because I nearly got it until I was seduced by Blackberry. My previous phone was the P990 which I loved despite its memory issues (which the P1 does not have).
