LG KS360 Chatterbox

BTW, I've loaded MXit and Opera Mini on the KS360 and it works great. This really is an awasome little device.

I also recently got one of them ks360s an overall i gotta say I'm pretty happy. Just one thing though, sometimes when ur typin really fast an you hit the directional buttons on the keypad its kinda like it ignores the letter an does the direction instead. Anyone else gettin this or is it just me?
 
anyone try the samsung Behold i just heard my daughter in the states has one.
 
For those interested, Vodacom are including 50 SMSes each month for 24 months with the LG KS360 on Topup 135.
 
Anyone who got the KS360 on Prepaid? I'm considering of grabbing one to make typing forum replies etc. easier during the day. No internet access at work and recently I've been typing quite a few lengthy replies on my OLD V360 which kills my poor thumbs.

Also how well does Opera Mini work on it? Does the screen rotation cause any problems? I see it goes for R1499 at game but then it's Vodafone branded. Wonder if MTN will have in stock if I do decide to get it. I hate the Vodafone branded stuff.

Personally I would go with th
e P1 which has a great keyboard (but takes some getting used to) and handwriting recognition. Great multimedia and you can easily mod it to include the W960 Walkman music player. It costs a little more than the LG option but it's infinitely better and it's a genuine smart phone so there are lot's of games and programmes you can install. Cell C have it for R144/month on Casual Chat and Vodacom for R135/month on Weekender.

The F700 looks pretty sweet for the price IMO
 
I must add, the chatterbox is very good for the price. But there is something about the keyboard design that made mine and a girlfriend's hands lame, hard to explain.
 
i am having another look ot this thread but at the HTC P3400 does anyone have info on it please.

Nope the buttons are a good size and my hands are ave guy sized hands, I think the keypad might be too wide, I cant explain it, i used HTC's and have never had the problem. Its the way in which you hold it that gives your hand a kind of a weird cramp lameness when typing with your thumbs, i don't know what it is about it.

This happened to me and a girl I know,

But im not saying its like that for everyone I think alot of people are quite fine with it.
 
this is a really nice phone...

Wish i had the money to accquire it although the more i look the more i see i'm not going back to vodacom... MTN is getting my service...
 
Well I decided to pull the trigger and get the KS360. I got it for R1799 on MTN prepaid from Jet. They were the only ones who had stock.

It seems to be a pretty solid unit, I just need to get used to working with it. The navigation in Opera Mini is somewhat frustrating since you need to press the Fn key each time you want to use the keyboard arrow keys. It also seems that only the OK button on the front is recognized, the keyboard OK acts as enter key during text entry.
 
Seems it limits the amount of text for replies. My previous post seems to be the limit. Don't know if it's a Opera 3 limitation.

BTW: The Prepaid version also comes with a 1GB SD card. Also has a data cable and headphones in the box (haven't tried it).
