Liberty Stash App

Hi @Jeruanamo

So yesterday I sent the following to [email protected]:

"Good day

I hope you are well.

So it seems I have stashed twice for the same purchase. Once, a day after the actual swipe, then again six days later.

I have checked my credit card history, I did NOT make the same purchase on two different days.

Please advise as to whether I should expect this to be a regular occurrence."

I provided the necessary details as well.

This morning, I received the following response from a "Stash Enquiry Agent":

"Hello XX

We do apologise for the inconvenience caused, we are working on resolving the issue in the interim please note that money is taken from your bank account daily at 1pm. You can stop all stashing through the app in History before 1pm.

- Team Stash"

Is this an automated response? It doesn't seem to answer my questions at all. I just want to know what happened and why, was it something I did, or was it a glitch in the matrix?

On a side note, that is not a very professional-looking response when you are dealing with people's money, but whatever.

I am making no accusations at this point, am only concerned. But on the off chance that there is something wrong with your system, for the protection of all who use this app, I thought I would post openly and not pm you.

Not at all a great response. Will have a chat with the support team. I know what happened - there was a delay in the SMS from FNB and the Smart inContact notification. Normally the app cancels the one out if they're received on the same day, but it looks like (in your case) it happened on different days. It's clearly a bug we need to squash.

Thanks for letting us know.

Bank charged for the R0.01 investment

"If you spend R9.99, Stash will invest the R0.01 in spare change for you that very day."

How much does it cost in bank fees to transfer the 1 cent to my Stash Wallet. I have a choice of a Discovery Credit Card or ABSA cheque account. If the 1 cent goes through the credit card as a cash transaction it will attract a charge I am sure.

It's a card swipe. As long as your card swipes are free, so is Stash :)

Hi,
I've downloaded the app onto my phone but having a problem with adding my debit card. Not sure how long it takes to scan the card and when I enter the card details and press the done button it comes up with an error message.
Please can someone help.

Hi Lisa. Just did a test on my side, and it scanned my card in fewer than five seconds. Just hold it steady.

What did the error message say?

Is there a way to cash out to a different account other than the one from which the stash is being deducted?

nope. you have to change the 'Money comes from account' if you want to do that

What happens to the money if I die. There is no account number or place for a beneficiary. In other words how will my family know that I have money in Stash/Liberty and how will they be able to get access to it.
