Pylontech and CFE batteries same whatsapp group as people will say. Problems. They fail. BMS cells etc.
No its normal prismatic cells. These marketplace sells harvest them from dead pylontech and CFE batteries. The failure rate on those look extremely high. There is a reason the 2nd hand market is flooded with them.
I was just thinking because the longer I wait with fixing this battery IF it comes to it a new cell won't really fit in because of the number of cycles and calandar aging already.
Links to some of these sellers. There is one close by so I might just go and have a look at what he has but yeah @wingnut771 is right. I need to learn my lesson so let me stay away.

If there were other cells in your bank on their way out then you would see them with the low voltage too. Yes I was also thinking about that. Buy one of these cheap failed batteries and replace the bms but again what if the cells have been chilling at less than 2.5v for a while. Then again school fees.

Only buy ones with a 50% soc. I wonder what the issue is with these CFE's. Does it say in the add what their capacity/"issue" is?
R5000 is a good price, but not if you only have 50Ah.
Pretty much this also some weird issue where they blame sunsyk inverters overcharging them even in closed loop coms.
Okay sure but why does your bms cut off when this happens? Like 99% other batteries.

Hi, Everyone. I am based in South-Africa, Limpopo, Tzaneen.I have a Deye 8kw inverter connected to 8x Pylontech US3000 batteries, rack mounted. Ohh I see what you mean. The Pylontech are these pouch cells.
I don't think mobile networks use them right? Last time I watched Carte Blanche they use mainly Leoch batteries.
These CFE batteries are everywhere. Everyone is selling them. It's like the sudden flood of Ecoflow refurbished/used units. Maybe chine or some EU countries dumping their LFP waste here

If a 100Ah is about R10k and if these R5k only have 50Ah capacity, then what's the difference just buying a new one?

That is hardly much imbalance.As for my battery issues. We are on the flat part of the voltage curve and there is still some imbalance

Found one deal on bobshop, that's like R10.2k for full capacity:
I heard that 70% SOH is pretty much EOL
Not sure how low one can take SOH to.

Yeah I'm on grid so all solar goes to the batteries and then once pv is gone I'm going to to do grid charge.
