So you can't open my PC? Us old people use a thing called a Mouse (I'll explain it to you). Wiggle around the screen (I can explain that too) then simply sort it out. JEEZ, what are you doing on this site?Maybe a youtube video might be better (for you old people, I'll explain what youtube is, later):

Het jy jou pilletjies vergeet vandag?I'm not quite sure what you are trying to ask here.
We can't just use a picture of your computer to somehow control it? We'd need to physically be there.
From the screenshots though, you are on the right track. You have a virtual machine.
You now need an ISO file to install Linux with. Pick a distribution. Ubuntu is a good starting point to see if you like it.
Then you attach that to your virtual machine as an optical drive (It's basically a DVD image, so Virtual Box uses the ISO file to simulate putting an actual DVD into your virtual computer.)
Then you follow the instructions on the screen. It's really quite straightforward.
If you would like to do a zoom or something at some point, to ask an actual human being questions, then PM me, I may be able to assist a bit later in the week,
Maybe a youtube video might be better (for you old people, I'll explain what youtube is, later):

IRC ruled my world for a few years. Loved that. Went completely irssi. Had my own bot or two etc.
Imagine doing this without internet like olde irc days![]()
If you did not like this experience you would not like Linux anyway.I have decided to give Linux a miss. Thank you so much for your help![]()
or bsd: write your own manual and try againIf you did not like this experience you would not like Linux anyway.
The Linux community is notorious for "read the documentation before you ask questions".
I've used FreeBSD a couple of times. Really very different from Linux and on a few occasions it completely screwed up my HDD with its filesystem so much so that I lost my Win and other Linux partitions and it would not boot into BSD.or bsd: write your own manual and try again![]()
Yeah, I enjoyed its rawnessI've used FreeBSD a couple of times. Really very different from Linux and on a few occasions it completely screwed up my HDD with its filesystem so much so that I lost my Win and other Linux partitions and it would not boot into BSD.
Really a different beast that, coming from Linux you expect it to be sort-of similar.
And having the documentation being terrible or good but unreadable. If you did not like this experience you would not like Linux anyway.
