Limiting Usage

Hi!

Quick question.. is there a way that I can limit a lan connection on a Trendnet 300mbps router,
A friend and I both use the same router and he's not using it to the full extent.
I just want to take his usage down a notch?

I don't think Trendnet ADSL routers have any bandwidth management.

You could us an RB-750 to do the network management but it might be a slightly overkill if you just trying to manage 1 user.

Hi there,
Taking his usage down does not necessarily mean you will get more.
Most routers will work at maximum rate possible and the performance will only diminish with more users on it.
Often the bandwidth management is aimed at limiting usage on a user basis e.g mac address a is only allowed 40mb/sec
