Line only syncing with Telcom's tech router and Netgear

Hey guys I've been using a D-Link DSL-2750U and it has been working as expected for a few months and suddenly this past monday it stopped syncing.

Reported the fault on Wednesday, they came in yesterday and today, initially said had to go next door to fix it in the yard but today tested it with a router they brought and the line synced.

He said i should change the router, so i managed to get the same model that was confirmed working as well as a NetGear N600 dual band gigabit to test.

With all the required settings and logindetails of my webafrica account it syncs and works with the netgear but not the dlink? Do any of you guys know why?

Is there any setting I can modify or when i phone telkom
Is there any specific thing I can tell them to check?
