At the moment,

LinoSuse KDE 4 x64 (64 bit edition) is available for download.

I took down the 32bit versions as I was having too many problems with them.

Please note that these are still in testing and may break your system. Use at own risk.

Bugs so far and workarounds:

When running the live and choosing the time zone. Please select another continent and then Africa again. Then you will be able to select Johannesburg as the timezone.

When choosing the option to install the live cd to the actual computer the following occurs.

It will ask you for a password. You must type in "linux" without the quotations.

An error message of cannot read the licence comes up, just select I agree. (No you do not need to worry as they are exactly the same ones as when you first boot up the OS)

Another bug is that the distro tries to refresh its repos before it will install. So far the only way around this is to be either connected to the internet or disable the repos.

Has anyone tested this? I am currently running build 0.0.2 and so far it is coming along nicely.

I will be giving the links of Beta 1 on Tuesday. With a complete change log.

Give me a good reason why I should get rid of my current Suse11.1 install in favor of yours and I'll give it a try

You know that is a good statement. In fact you do not need to at all. Linobuntu and LinoSuse are not aimed at the die hard extreme Linux advanced user.

I am trying to take what is already there and make it easier for some people. Not all users want to take days or want to figure out how to add simple mp3 functionality.

It would be nice if I had more support with these projects.
