Simple HTPC desktop

The idea is that it should be simple to see and operate from 4 metres away while displayed on a 40 inch LCD TV. The font size has been increased to 16pt and the dock configured to fit in with the desktop appearance.

Well...was a bit bored and could not sleep so thought I would give KDE a try to see what its like. I really like the look of it......but it works rather different as to gnome! I cant yet figure out how to copy something onto my desktop lolz.
Make sure you installed the extra widgets from the repos, I don't think they are installed by default. Next add the Desktop, Folder View or Icon (can't remember which one) widget to your Desktop. You should now be able to place icons inside this widget.

You think? I kinda like going for the minimalist look.
Anyway, I'm never able to decide what widgets I want to add (most of the info feels redundant), so I end up adding none.
