Nope, but I might check it out at a later stage.

Post your thoughts and stuff once you've started using it please!

ill probably try mint sometime in virtual box, heard some good things about it, although the menu looks a little cluttered to me- I like the three separate menus in ubuntu....

You can easily change it as with most things in linux.

Linux Mint

I've been using Linux Mint 10 since the RC release and did all updates until today. I mainly use it for my Amateur Radio applications without any problems:)

Things are looking good so far. Combined with Firefox 4 beta 7, I'm loving it. The new theme takes some getting used to (coming from darker themes), but it is very polished.

Compared to Ubuntu? What are the advantages of using Mint?

It comes down to preference. I ran Ubuntu 10.10 before Mint 10, and I think both a really good releases. I prefer Mint's start menu and overall look and feel. Because Mint 10 is based on Ubuntu 10.10, the software is exactly the same, but they ship with different applications as default. Pidgin instead of empathy, thunderbird instead of evolution, etc.

Mint also has all the codecs, dvd stuff etc installed by default. I reckon Mint is more polished than Ubuntu.

I have tried Mint on a couple of occasions...but I just for some reason prefer Ubuntu. Cant really say why. :)

Finally had a look at 10 - WOW. I thought Maverick looked nice. Mint 10 is like what would happen if Apple did Linux, only better. It's gorgeous. That new theme of theirs, with the menu that looks like brushed aluminium - so pretty.
