What a lot of assumptions.
1) An obvious Linux schooled Fanboi splurting (*%$#@*) here. Assuming everyone must know about Linux what he tought himself over so many years.
2) I run Windows 7 beta to be upgraded to RC1 (Legit copy).
3) So you must search wiki everytime you want to find a instruction to load/unload/configure files or software. What if you are not online. (Windows just works and have a good help and support system)
4) Obviously you see anyone mentioning anything they find or experienced as a disadvantage in Linux a TROLL, that is typical Fanboi disease of the worst kind. Some people are to mentally strained to read and understand the topic where it states that Linux tops windows. Obviously any fanboi idiot will then claim that anything posted here by others to prove the general statement is wrong is trolling. Still part of the same Fanboi disease, on the low mentality side of the worst kind.
5)What takes a lot of time is setting up the drivers for existing hardware where default linux driver are not avaiable. Check the Linux forum how many members struggled with Linux. Some still do. Its only in the last few Distro release versionws where it is much improved. Thekernal could be the same but who can use the kernel commands if you do not get a distro that is preconfigured for a noob. Then with all the differences in hardware you expect that noob to be able to ask questions of something he does not know. You will be the first to tell that noob to buzz of because he would not understand your vitriol.
6) lastly your attitude stinks thats exactly the problem with many of the so called Linux experts.

Instead if giving advice where the structured information can be found you blew your top, angered your mind and threw all your toys out of your cot. Get some ritilen dude. Grow up! All you said was pure Fanboi tripe. So either start again or You buzz OFF.

I've been using Ubuntu for a month now, and I'm not going back to Windows, ever.

I_am_Penguin is obviously just a monkey. Go back to your tree. We don't care about what you think about Linux. If I can do everything I want on Ubuntu, just a week after using it for the first time, its obviously not THAT hard. Not to mention that Ubuntu has a very helpful and friendly forum and irc community.

It understand that it cannot run pastel, so that is a problem for accountants.
But the fact that it cannot run SQLserver and Visual Studios - WHO CARES? And Linux isn't to be blamed for it. The makers of the software, Microsoft, is to blame for it not working on Linux.

I installed MS Office 07 and Photoshop CS3 on my ubuntu system last week using CrossOver. Yep the first time that I had to use pirated software on my linux pc. It was for experimental purposes and I obviously uninstalled it immediately.

Sounds like Linux is just what you want then. Those came bundled out of the box for me with Ubuntu.

Some people will always complain, and never put in some effort to really look at Linux. Do not bother with them, as they will always find an excuse why not to use linux.

Not trolling, this was posted in a linux thread to point out to other linux users that I had a good experience with Linux.

I don't hate windows, it does some things better than linux most notably the UI, I don't have a problem with this because Linux is not a corporation with developers being paid for their work.

What a bunch of Linuxidiots on this forum. I already installed YDL on my PS3, now I can browse the harddrive and browse the web, thats it. I tried to install a Linux hack on my Netgear modem, no succsess. I have a CD of Ubuntu yet to be installed on a available spare PCbox. So no! I do not hate Linux neither are a M$ fanboi. I just raised some true facts you hate. Simple. My own experience, and those of others on MyBB that installed Linux before and then dumped it, was the reason for my valid comments. Yeah only now lately Linux are becoming easier to use. Face it, it still has a long way to go to challenge Windows. As a server or Internet interface, Yeah, maybe but as a desktop? Shame, only Linux fanbois believe it's the "be all and end of all means"
