Zappers/Vindicator do you have calls open with Telkom? I want escalate this, maybe if we escalate multiple calls for multiple parties we have a better result... :mad: this is interfering with my game time!

I logged an online fault report, but haven't heard back from them....
 
Zappers I manange to escalate my call today and got a ref - not sure if it will achieve anything.
 
I just purchased a WebAfrica Pro account (I always use Afrihost) just to eliminate the possibility of my slow speeds being ISP related. It isn't (btw... getting better pings on Afrihost).

I assume then that my exchange is also congested. The slow speeds only started this month.

Anyone else on 012991xxxx? Think its called the Faerie Glen exchange.

Is a "congested exchange" something Telkom would fix?

Anyone been successful in getting Telkom to resolve these issues? How did you go about it? Surely this is grounds for getting a refund?

I tried a free WA account and my pings look the same as with Telkom account.

I'm also in Bothasig and had very slow browsing speeds the last week. The Telkom techie was here today and escalated the query to their specialists. Below is a tracrt to Google

I'm pretty sure something has gone wrong here in Brackenhurst/Meyersdal on the 867 exchange.

The last two weeks my speeds, and pings and lag have gone erratic and crazy.

But my downloads late at night seem to go fine.

Youtube videos and many other websites take ages to load.

How do I go about diagnosing whether it is congestion?
 
Maybe because of the "free" ADSL offer they have oversubscribed a bunch of exchanges...

I have the 4Mb uncapped from MWeb, the line itself used to sync at 10Mb but i had it brought down to 4Mb yesterday to see if it would improve the speed but it didn't work.

I have a reference number for the fault, I'll definitely keep on their case to sort it out.
 
The Olivedale exchange is over subscribed. Greedy b******s.

Does anyone know if we can claim our line rental back until they fix it? It has been reported and I have a reference number.
