I just stumbled across this app, and it seems pretty good. I can see loads of movies and stuff but is there anyway to get free live TV streaming like Sky movies and other channels a regular cable TV would offer etc?

There is a Program Add On for kodi named Navi-X. Its the best way to watch live tv on Kodi. Its got just about any channel you can imagine and the contect is updated and maintained by other users.

Also have a look at TVMC. Its a port of Kodi but it has all the add ons most users use already installed and configured. Just google TVMC

I use Navi X! Love it but sadly the live TV channels hardly work at all.

Try the Genisis ad on. Got all the series and movies you can think of. Also has a couple of live Sky channels.

Install these add-ons as a start:
BBTS - Live TV/Sports
Phoenix - Live TV and streaming sources
UK Turks - PLENTY Live TV/Sports for the UK
Icefilms - Streaming
iStream - Streaming and AceStream live TV

I just got TVMC! Thanks! :)
Some movies play and it is the closest thing to TV I guess, I still will use Kodi though if I need to check sports etc.

Problem that could arise is the poor streaming or buffering due to my 2mb speed

Can't play movies on like phoenix etc it just goes out with an error "unfortunately TVMC has stopped"

1Channel is similar to Genesis, I find I have less trouble with the streams on 1 Channel. NaviX seems to have lost a lot of the TV streams in the last week... I used to watch Sky News, but none work anymore. So Aljazeera for now. Hate American News channels.

As for the particular build you run, I have found OSMC to be quite good, I run a standard Kodi skin though, I dislike the OSMC skin. TVAddons is a must though!

to add:

ZEUS ADDON Live Streaming and VOD
Yify-HD VOD
Ororo TV VOD

1. Install the Fusion Installer
2. Install the Addon Installer
3. Use the Addon Installer to install FTV, Cliq!, USTVnow (Video section) and then FTV Guide (Program section)

You will have nearly all the Live BBC channels and more. ;)

@patrick123 The TVMC is basically the fusion installer method already done on kodi. So no need to run it.

Subscribe to ntv.mx for €15pm and install the ntv addon or even better incorporate with ivue TV guide. The whole live TV channels scene on kodi is filled with unreliable, poor quality or incorrect audio streams (dubbed) that you spend more time trying to find a correct/decent stream.

Im looking for LIVE HDTV Content, I dont mind paying, if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

Looking for the following:
Discovery HD
SKYSPORT HD
FOXSPORT HD
ANIMAL PLANET HD

What do these Kodi add ons look like?

Hi guys, advice needed!

When running Kodi on my laptop it runs flawless. As soon as I connect a HDMI cable and straight to tv, the audio stops after a few seconds.

When I run it over balons (hdmi over cat 5) from my laptop in study to bedroom, audio is there all the time but sluggish........

I'm still new to all this.

Also I have fiber over wireless connection, my speed test results are around 12 Mbps .

When streaming live tv......buffer....buffer......buffer......????

Cheers

You are so spot on there, irritates the living crap out of me trying to find a decent link. Today it works and tomorrow not
